Atlantic Orient Canada Inc
has developed a remotely operated data logging
and information storage package to be used with
the AOC 15/50 Wind Turbine.
This package (software and hardware) is used to
record and store operating information from the
turbine to a typical desktop computer running
Windows XP. This information is automatically
stored in a database that can easily be
manipulated using spreadsheet, database or other
programs. The information, in this form, can
then be e-mailed or added to web pages.
The software is comprised of two main
components:

The Turbine Logger, which
reads the data from the wind turbine’s PLC.

The Turbine Monitor,
which displays the current status of the
Turbine Logger and the latest data set.
The Turbine Monitor will be
located in the Windows XP system tray (usually
lower right corner) and is shown as a traffic
light icon (see below).
